The Bible was handed down through his paternal grandmother's family BENNEE. The Bible was first owned by the STEAR family whose daughter Lois Clifton married Edward BENNEE. Lois' father John Richard appears to have emigrated to SA in 1812, settled and married in Swellendam, Cape
