DIED at Clarkebury of Dysentery on the 17th July 1866, Mr. James NUGENT of Umtato, son in law of Mr. H. MORTIMER, after an illness of three weeks. Aged 31 years. The deceased was formerly a Sergeant in the F.A.& M. Police and was highly respected by all who knew him. Friends at a distance will please accept this notice.

Died at PE on the 8th My 1867, Mr. T.J. DONOVAN, late of King William's Town, aged 25 years, leaving a wife and one child to deplore their irreparable loss. He was a fond husband and affectionate friend to all who knew him.

DIED at Alice on the 31st May 1867 from injuries received from a fall on the previous evening, John NETTLETON, formerly of the 7th Dragoon Guards, and for many years resident at Keiskamma Hoek, in the 70th year of his age, deservedly respected and deeply lamented by all who knew him.
The bereaved widow and all the members of the family take this opportunity of tendering their sincere thanks to Dr. STUART, Mr. and Mrs QUINN and the inhabitants of Alice for the kindness shewn to them in their heavy affliction.

DIED at King William's Town on the 18th October 1877, after a short and painful illness, Mr. John HENDRY, aged 66 years and 5 months, formerly Corporal in the 72nd Highlanders, deeply regretted by his numerous family and friends.
The widow and surviving family hereby tender their grateful thanks to those kind friends who exhibited such great sympathy with them during the deceased's illness by sitting up with him and by rendering many other kindnesses which they cannot too highly appreciate.
